Eat:

For breakfast, try Farm where you will be transported to the South of France with their lovely garden patio and emphasis on provencal cuisine including crepes, omelets, and french toast, with french press coffee and loose leaf teas.

At Trio, brunch dishes including chicken and waffles and eggs benedict, paired with spicy bloody marys or bottomless mimosas.

At Cheeky’s, comfort food is elevated in this bright and popular spot. Try a flight of bacon with 5 different kinds, legendary homemade cinnamon rolls, and fresh egg dishes with breakfast cocktails or coffee drinks.

For casual eats, try the roadside diner, Kings Highway, located inside the Ace Hotel with comfort food like chicken fried steak and fish tacos, paired with a watermelon margarita. On Monday evenings, they host a popular bingo night.  

At Sandfish, Chef Engin Onural serves fresh sushi and global cuisine at his sleek upscale restaurant and whiskey bar.

For a stylish steakhouse, don’t miss Mr. Lyons, this elegant retro restaurant serves steakhouse staples with hand-cut meats and classic cocktails.

Workshop Kitchen and Bar is located in the historic El Paseo building in the uptown design district. This popular spot serves innovative and seasonal cuisine in a hip industrial space with a focus on local farms.

Birba is a buzzy spot with an open-air bar and lovely patio that serves modern Italian pizza, pasta, and wine. 

Chi Chi’s in the Avalon Hotel features Latin creations with a distinctive California style at this poolside restaurant.

 

Drink

Truss and Twine, an industrial-chic bar where classic cocktails are broken down by era, also features a desert-inspired menu using local ingredients from the Coachella Valley.

Dead or Alive is a cozy dimly lit bar with a patio with a curated selection of beer and wine with jazz nights on Fridays.

4 Saints is a stunning rooftop restaurant and bar on top of the Rowan Hotel. Enjoy craft cocktails with views of the San Jacinto Mountains and small plates with a Mediterranean flair.

The Amigo Room inside the Ace Hotel is a cool cavernous space with 21 taps of craft beer, signature cocktails and entertainment including DJs, karaoke and comedy.

El Jefe at The Saguaro Hotel features all-day happy hour, tequila, and Mexican street food in a hip cocktail bar. Especially popular for taco Tuesdays with $5 margaritas and $4 tacos. 

The Purple Room, this classic supper club evokes the glamor and sophistication of the Rat Pack era where Frank, Sammy, Dean and others played on and off the stage in the swinging 60s. Step back in time and be transported to a bygone era in this intimate and inviting cocktail lounge with nightly entertainment.

 

Shop

Palm Springs is a mecca for unique shopping, with an abundance of vintage mid-century modern decor as well as modern reinterpretations. New stores and pop-up shops continue to evolve on the retail scene.

Shopping districts include Uptown Design District, which boasts more than 50 unique boutiques, galleries, shops, and galleries within stunningly-restored mid-century modern buildings.

The heart of downtown shopping is Palm Canyon Drive with shops, galleries, and restaurants on this palm-tree-lined street.

Sunny Dunes Vintage Row is just south of downtown, this up and coming shopping area features dozens of vintage shops.

Backstreet Arts District is a unique community of artists’ working studios & galleries with creative products for all tastes.

If you’re a bargain hunter, just twenty miles from Palm Springs, you find a premium outlet mall with all the name brands at discount prices.

El Paseo is a stylish shopping and dining destination in nearby Palm Desert.
