Since launching in April 2010, there is one thing I’ve noticed that Travel Belles have in common: We know that, contrary to popular belief, travel can be both pretty and practical.
The Travel Belles was conceived in response to my own frustration when taking to the Internet to find travel information and inspiration that was geared towards me.
Additionally when it comes to the concept of travel (or anything really), I get somewhat upset whenever I hear someone, whether it be one of my teenage daughters, a longtime friend, or a stranger on a street corner say, “I could never do that!” I want to look them right in the eye and say, “Yes, you can.”
Don’t go thinking that the next thing to pass my lips is that in order to do this hallowed thing called “travel,” that one must don a backpack, win the lottery, ditch a bad relationship or leave a cubicle. (Although if that’s what you’ve got in mind, we’ve got quite a few of you hanging around in our little cul-de-sac and are are more than welcome here as well.)
