This week’s submission comes from my brother, sister-in-law and niece who are currently traveling in Egypt. Now tell me this is not one of the most adorable Travel Belles you have ever seen in your life?
There’s the bandanna, the shades, the grin, and last but not least the jaunty way her arm is placed on her hip. Her father is taking photographs of what I presume to be the Great Pyramid of Giza, the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Her mother is taking a photo of her husband taking a photo of the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and her amazing kid. I find this funny. It has something to do with they did not send in a pyramid picture, and I’m glad. I’d much rather see this. (And today’s her 7th birthday too. Happy Birthday E!)
They also included this gorgeous photo of a felucca ride on the Nile and sent along this note, which I get the feeling was written en famille:
A felucca is a traditional Egyptian sailboat. As we left the dock the sounds of traffic began to fade away. The river smelled good, the current was swift, the water lapped against the boat. Steady breeze. The sail was tattered the boat 40 years old. Egrets waded in the Nile Rose grasses at the river’s edge. sunset was beautiful. Hard to believe we were in a city of 20 million people. Incredibly peaceful. This photo was taken near the docks.
In other thrilling news, my new friend Debbie (who has a great blog on traveling with teens and tweens) whom I met at TBEX, has written a post where she pokes fun at my rather serious overpacking issues.

Wow, how exciting for her to be traveling to such faraway places at such a young age. Your whole family must have the traveling bug!
And, yes, she is awfully cute:)

Love this! She’s adorable, Margo.
