Belle Views: E’s Market

Rome, Italy: My son and I like to set up a little organic market stall at our neighborhood playground. I used to do this when I was a child, in the same place, and it’s heartwarming to see my son–totally unprompted–doing the same. Belle Views: E’s Market

Starting from the bottom left we have, freshly harvested collard greens, wild baby asparagus, field flowers (which he assures me are great tossed in salad), whole wheat spaghetti, thinly sliced beef for carpaccio, wheat spikes for bread, homemade breadsticks, cannellini beans, chives.
And what’s the last item on the right? I asked.
“Those are just dry leaves, Mom.”
